GoVirtualCPA is a family-owned CPA firm led by a mother-and son team in the Florida Panhandle, providing trusted accounting and advisory services to clients across Florida and throughout the US.

Today, our team operates virtually from Freeport, Florida, serving businesses throughout the state and beyond. Hi, I’m Michael. I grew up in beautiful Destin, Florida, where I developed a strong appreciation for community and hard work—values that continue to guide my approach to client service today. I hold degrees in Applied Mathematics and Accounting from Coastal Carolina University and Western Illinois University. I also played collegiate football at these schools. I am a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida. Whether it’s managing day-to-day bookkeeping, providing strategic tax planning, or ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards, my goal is to make the financial side of your business simple and stress-free. I take pride in being a trusted advisor my clients can count on year after year.

Hi, I'm Dawn - founder of GoVirtualCPA. I started this firm back in 2017 with a simple goal to make accounting and bookkeeping easy, clear, and stress-free for small business owners. I'm a Florida Certified Public Accountant with a Master of Accountancy from Stetson University and more than 25 years of experience helping businesses stay organized and financially confident.
Over the years, I've learned that great accounting isn't just about numbers - it's about people, goals, and peace of mind. I love getting to know my clients, understanding what drives their business, and helping them make sense of the financial side so they can focus on what they love doing most.
When I'm not diving into spreadsheets or tax planning, you can usually find me enjoying life along Florida's Gulf Coast, spending time outdoors, or brainstorming new ways to make virtual accounting even more personal and efficient.
